This article is written for all Mothers who never stop loving
their children no matter what they may do or say. And remember, Mother's Day truly occur 365 days a year...
…NOTHING MORE POWERFUL THAN A MOTHER’S LOVE…
written by Gary Paul Frese - 05.05.08
A Mother’s love for her children…
With Mother’s Day approaching,
our thoughts naturally turn to our Mothers. For most of us, those thoughts are full of a powerful, never-ending
nurturing love. And, there is absolutely nothing more powerful on earth than a Mother’s love for
her children. If you want to try to understand what God’s love for you feels like, just step back
and feel a Mother’s love for her children,--or your Mother’s love for you—that’s as close as you will
get to understanding God’s love for us, his children.
Two Mothers…
I am one of the fortunate ones because I was blessed with two Mothers.
One gave birth to me and the second one took over from there when she and my Father adopted me. I
am eternally grateful to my birth Mother for giving me life. She, as all woman do, had a choice when I
entered her womb, and she chose to give the gift of life to me—Thank-You Mother (Dorothy Morari)!
Now, when it comes to my “other” Mother who adopted me, a son could not ask for a more loving,
understanding, God-fearing person than her. I was very fortunate to be adopted into a family that believed
in the power of prayer. You see, I certainly wasn’t the easiest child to raise and I certainly gave
my Mother every reason to pray for my safety as I stumbled aimlessly through life as an adult. I have said
it many times—if it wasn’t for my Mother’s love and daily prayers for me, I would have lived a much shorter
life than I have lived. In fact, when she passed away at 94 a couple of years ago,
I was actually a little bit afraid because I knew she was one of the main reasons I survived some of the messes I got myself
into repeatedly as an adult. Hmmmmm. Maybe that’s why I am here now doing my part
through my angel card readings because I realized that I finally had to take total responsibility for my
life!
Mother’s Love is God’s Top Priority…
It is my opinion that when it comes to God’s priorities, he places addressing Mother’s prayers for their
children at the top of the list. That doesn’t always mean that everything turns out perfect for “the
children” because we as children do have our free agency and we did choose to come to this earth to experience certain
lessons that may be painful for ourselves as well as our Mothers. This is where, no matter how hard it
may be, trusting that God knows what is best is the only way to face the more difficult times Mothers face with their children.
I have included, at the end of my article, an awesome poem by Helen Steiner Rice entitled Our Father knows what's best for us. I hope that this will help those of you who are facing difficult times
with your children or anything else in life.
A Mother’s Love
creates Miracles…
This I know without a doubt—a Mother’s love and her prayers for her children
continually result in miracles that cannot be explained by anyone on this earth. A Mother’s concerns
are felt by her children, and those concerns and undying love do make a huge difference in children’s lives because:
- A Mother’s love can heal a child miraculously when there
is no hope medically!
- A Mother’s love does open a child’s heart so the
child is able to see the lower-energy that comes with harmful choices!
- A Mother’s love sometimes
is the only thing that opens a child’s heart so they can see themselves as a young person deserving self-respect.
- A Mother’s Love “fixes” stuff that NO ONE else can fix!
A Mother’s
Love is Always here no matter what we think or how we act…
Our Mother’s love is what makes us realize that no matter
how poor our choices are, she truly does not give up on us. Oh yeah, she may be very disappointed in some
of our choices, but that does not mean she gives up on us. And, even if she says, out of extreme frustration,
“I give up”--trust me that deep down she never gives up! That my friends,
is exactly how God views all of us! No matter how bad we mess up, he like our Mothers, never truly give
up on us.
So, if you are a Mother, please use your God-given power to love your children unconditionally.
Your child, no matter what their age is, always needs to feel your powerful love for them, and they need you to love
them always no matter what they choose to do in life. Again, I promise you that if you ALWAYS send love
to your child, you will make a difference in their life.
Happy Mother’s Day…
And, for
us the children of our Mothers, let’s stop for a moment and allow ourselves to focus on, and feel with an open heart,
the gifts our Mothers have given us no matter what our childhood experiences were like. That is the real
gift your Mother wants for Mothers Day—the gift of knowing that she did, and still does, make a positive difference
in your life. And, please remember, that no matter how imperfect a person is, they do teach us lessons
that no one else could possibly teach us, and that applies to each and every Mother that is, or has lived, on this beautiful
earth!
Happy Mothers Day to my “Moms” and all the Mothers out there. We, your
children, do love you and we appreciate all you have given and taught us, and we acknowledge that your love
is the most powerful force on earth…
Here’s the Helen Steiner Rice poem I mentioned earlier…
Our Father knows what's best for us,
So why should we complain ...
We always want the sunshine,
But He knows there must be rain.
We
love the sound of laughter
And the merriment of cheer;
But our hearts would lose their tenderness
If we never
shed a tear.
Our Father tests us often
With suffering and with sorrow;
He tests us, not to punish us,
But to help us meet "tomorrow."
For growing trees are strengthened
When they withstand the storm;
And the sharp cut of the chisel
Gives the marble grace and form.
God never hurts us needlessly,
And
He never wastes our pain;
For every loss He sends to us
Is followed by rich gain.
And when we count the
blessings
That God has so freely sent;
We will find no cause for murmuring
And no time to lament.
For Our Father loves His children,
And to Him all things are plain;
So He never sends us "pleasure"
When the "soul's deep need is pain."
So whenever we are troubled,
And when everything goes
wrong,
It is just God working in us
To make "our spirits strong."
