WOW. It's 2:00 AM in the morning, and here I am writing my Daily Angel Wisdom message. Someone I respect
immensely told me yesterday, in a very positive way, that I am becoming somewhat obsessed with what I am doing
on my website. Well, that certainly is true, but it is because I absolutely love what I am doing now. It
took me 56 of my 59 years to break-free of the restrictions I put on myself. I always knew I was meant to do something
other than what I did for 37 years (manufacturing management). However, instead of standing up for myself, I sat on
my duff making up excuses for why I shouldn't make the life changes needed to bring me happiness and tranquility.
I spent years sitting on my duff while I freely gave my power away to other people and situations!
For those of you, who are much younger
than I am, PLEASE don't wait 40 years to make the life changes necessary to bring you happiness and tranquility.
Don't wait to TAKE YOUR POWER BACK! And, for those of you who are a bit older like me-- I am living proof that it
is never too late to make changes. It does not matter what age you are. If you truly want to make life changes
so you can follow your dreams--just do it, and "DON'T QUIT" once you have started. Oh yes, it does
take a ton of patience, and I do mean a ton, to give up what you are comfortable with to try something new, and
it takes mega tons of faith to pursue your dreams. There will be MANY times when your ego will jump in and try
to convince you that you don't have what it takes to make changes. However, if you take a leap of faith to
make changes in your life to pursue your dreams, I promise you that the payoff is beyond your wildest dreams.
So, just why do we sit on our duffs
when we get loud and clear messages from our Divine Creator, angels and inner-source to make life changes? Yep...
You're right. The number one reason is we get down right lazy, and then we allow our ego to convince us we
don't have what it takes to be successful in life! Our ego gives us the excuses we are looking for to pursue the
easy and lazy way in life. It is so much easier to sit in front of the TV or computer while we let life drift right
on by us. Hey, it takes no work at all to sit back and fill ourselves full of self-pity while making up excuses
for why we can't be successful or why we can't change our lives.
Folks, we do have choices in life. God gave
us our free will for a reason so we can make choices. I am so blessed to sit down with, or talk on the phone with, many
clients who have made the choice to get off their duff to accomplish their life goals. Their lives are rich and
full of loving accomplishments. They inspire me daily to keep pushing myself to make the changes I need to
make so I can continue to do what I love doing.
On the other hand, I have known a few people who unfortunately
don't get it. They just don't understand they need to get off their duffs to change their life. They sit
back and wait for "something" to fall out of the sky that will make them rich and happy. It just doesn't
work like that for most of us. Most of us need to take action to realize our dreams.
One of the reasons I give homework
when I read for my clients is because I realize that change requires action. It is my responsibility to give
you the tools, or access to other people's tools, to take the necessary action to inspire you to make life changes.
Years ago, I learned in an "Effective Study Techniques" class I took at Weber University that Change=A+D+C+A, which is awareness + decision
+ commitment + action = change.
If you are one of the many who needs or wants to get off your duff, I challenge you to reach inside
yourself to find the divine inspiration to take the necessary action to make life changes that will bring you happiness and
peace of mind. Just step back from life for a moment while you relax in quiet meditation. When you do this, open
yourself to receiving messages from your inner-source and angels. I promise you that if you set your ego aside and open
yourself to receiving, the guidance you are seeking to help get you off your duff is much closer than you realize.
